Visit to Japan – Shinshu University (Center for energy and Environmental Science) by Professors from UNIWA in the frame of Erasmus Mobility activities (13/6-17/6/2022)
In the frame Erasmus Mobility activities Prof. Georgios Priniotakis (Industrial Design and Production Engineering Department) and Prof. Savvas Vassiliadis (Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering) from University of West Attica visited Shinshu University at Japan.
At the meetings took place at the University except of the academic staff of Shinshu University representatives from Ghent University were participated.
Overall objectives of the mobility:
- Collaboration expansion.
- Development of joint courses.
- Increasing the quality and the quantity of student and staff mobilities.
Added value of the mobility (in the context of the modernisation and internationalisation strategies of the institutions involved):
- Improved understanding of shared requirements and directions for educational modernization.
- Shared knowledge and development of stable relations among members of the HEIs Cooperation in joint submission of proposals in national, transnational or European initiative.
Content of the teaching programme:
- The environmental impact of the Textile industry (pollutants).
- The environmental footprint of the sector (consumption of natural resources).
- Life Cycle Assessment.
- Tools for environmental compliance and improvement, Environmental legislation.
- New, sustainable materials in the Textile.
- Environmentally sustainable product design, and production processes.
- Sustainable services in the Textile sector (transport, logistics, packaging, trade).
- Environmental management and certified systems (EMAS, ISO1400, sectoral systems and signals, ecolabels).
- Recycling of Textile products.
- Reuse of clothing products.
