TECLO
Future Textile and Clothing Managers for Export, Marketing, Innovation, Sustainability and Entrepreneurship oriented Companies
TECLO is a two-year Knowledge Alliance project, co-funded by the European Commission, under the Erasmus+ programme. It is implemented by a consortium of fourteen partners from eight European Countries. The project’s context is bringing all stakeholders within the textile and clothing sector to work together in the validation of educational programmes and vocational training courses to meet the changing demands of domestic, international and emerging markets, with the objective to increase the efficiency and competitiveness of EU textile and clothing SMEs.
Due to on-going changes, such as globalization, competitiveness of emerging countries, lack of qualified staff, lifestyle changes and environmental issues, textile and clothing curricula should evolve to an increasing focus on entrepreneurship, innovation and management, thus a new generation of managers can bring new skills, an international perspective and more awareness of issues related to export promotion, non-technical innovation and sustainable supply chain management.
