Supporting Entrepreneurship in Eco Design

About the project

The fashion industry, considered the second-largest polluter worldwide after oil, is causing significant environmental harm. This includes excessive waste, harmful chemicals, and pollution of water and soil.

To address this, Fashion.ED seeks to create clothing more sustainably, considering every stage from material sourcing to disposal. It’s crucial to use eco-friendly materials, minimize waste, and ensure fair labor practices to reduce fashion’s environmental impact and promote a more responsible industry.

Fashion.ED aims to cultivate an entrepreneurial, digitally-driven, and innovative higher education landscape. Its goal is to enhance students’ entrepreneurial skills, encouraging them to pursue careers in eco-fashion. This initiative seeks to contribute to the circular economy’s growth and promote eco-design within the fashion industry, aligning with the objectives of the EU Education Area.

Objectives

Fashion.ED aims to promote sustainable practices in fashion by enhancing the skills and knowledge of students and professionals. The program supports the next generation of eco-fashion entrepreneurs through training, digital tools and resources. Objectives include developing entrepreneurial skills, providing knowledge on eco-design in fashion through interactive VR experiments, organizing training and study visits, and stimulating innovation through a competition for eco-design business plans.
