Procotex – Products of coated textiles (2010 – 2012)

The aim of the PROCOTEX project is to build up and strength an international research network in smart textiles, develop innovative products and valorize these products.

Together the three partners have expertise in different surface modification technologies as well as in electrospinning. Knowledge and research skills available within the consortium are complimentary and ensure the contribution of each partner to the joint development of the products.

The available technologies build the basis for the development of 3 prototype products, each handled by 1 team. The teams consist of 4 researchers, 2 from South Africa, 2 from the European countries. Each team will focus on one prototype . Additionally research trainings, courses and workshops are organised.
