Textile Digitalization Based On Digital Education And Innovative E-Tools

The DigiTEX project is a strategic partnership on the high education, co-funded by the European Commission by the Erasmus+ program. The partnership is integrated by 7 institutions from 5 European countries (including universities, non-profit institutions, and clusters), who joined with the aim to implement the “Textile digitalization based on digital education and innovative e-Tools” project.

Digital Learning Technologies To Accelerate Innovation In The Field Of Medical, Protective, Sensorial And Smart Textiles In The Context Of The Digital Economy

DigiTEX project aims to support innovative approaches and digital learning technologies to accelerate innovation, teaching and learning in the field of medical, protective, sensorial and smart 3D textiles design, testing and manufacturing of the innovative advanced products for healthcare (protective equipment, wearable monitoring devices) in the context of the digital economy.

Due to the fourth industrial revolution and Internet of things (IoT) development, an attractive direction for textiles is the new concept of flexible wearable devices based textiles to be more comfortable and be easily worn.

Appart of the defined outputs of the project, the consortium will focus on specific objectives and educational actions, that will lead and enhance this innovation acceleration:

  • Target 1 – Virtual workshops and e-learning courses about electronics embedded into textiles.

  • Target 2 – Learn and teach about 3D prototyping for medical, protective, sensorial and smart textile for sensors and actuators.

  • Target 3 – To study the context and the best practice for use, apply and recycle the materials used in medical textile devices, intelligent textile.

  • Target 4 – To study, learn and disseminate the aspects concerning the smart textile material performance, wearable devices.
