TECHTEX
Development of technical textiles’ skills for the Moroccan textile industry
About the project
TechTex project is based on multilateral partnerships between organizations active in the field of VET in the EU Member States (Turkey, Spain, Greece, and Italy) and third countries not associated with the Programme (Morocco). It aims to support the relevance, accessibility, and responsiveness of VET institutions and systems in Morocco as a driver of sustainable socio-economic development.
Objectives
The main objectives of the project are:
- The project aims to tackle the gap between skills demand from industrials and the training provision of the centers in the sub-sector of technical textiles. For that, TechTex will implement co-creation workshops in Morocco to align needs with VET centers, develop a virtual training module, a train-the-trainer program, and pilot replication training with VET students in Morocco. All the activities will be supported by strong project management, communication, and dissemination efforts together with quality control to ensure the exploitation potential. The project logic is translated into 6 work packages dedicated to each major outcome, following a structured order of development, pilot, and validation with strong collaboration between industry and VET centers in Morocco and best practices provided by European partners.
