SECOVE training Recap: Building Capacity for VET Graduate Tracking – Athens 17-19/9/2024

The training was conducted in Athens, Greece, at the IEK Delta premises (Ippokratous 22, Athens, 10680) from September 17th to 19th, 2024. This three-day training initiative, aimed to empower VET providers with the ability to establish effective tracking mechanisms and feedback loops. By doing so, the training sought to enhance the relevance and quality of VET provision.

Drawing upon the outcomes of the “On Track” project, the training focused on developing tracking mechanisms to seamlessly integrate into existing quality assurance systems. It also emphasized the creation of comprehensive tracking surveys that incorporate both open and closed-ended questions to measure specific indicators. Additionally, the training aimed to align tracking surveys with the institution’s established quality frameworks to ensure consistency and effectiveness.

The training was designed to benefit a diverse group of VET staff, including personnel responsible for quality assurance, staff from liaison or career offices, and individuals managing information management systems. After the training, participants were equipped with the ability to design and implement tracking surveys tailored to their institution’s specific needs, and the capacity to utilize tracking data to enhance training offers and ensure alignment with quality standards.

Overall, the training provided a valuable opportunity for VET providers to strengthen their capacity for tracking graduate outcomes and, consequently, improve the quality of their programs.
