Prof. Efthymios Gravas
Emeritus Professor of the Laboratory
Efthymios Gravas is an Emeritus Professor of West Attica University according to decision of the Academic Executive Board (No 14/22-09-2020), School of Engineering, Department of Industrial Design and Production Engineering, located in Athens Greece. He studied Textile Engineering at Leeds University, UK, from which he graduated with a B.Sc. and an M.Sc. Diploma. He is a holder of a Ph.D. Diploma in Knitting Computing Systems from Gent University, Belgium. He has got an industrial experience of over 20 years. He has been involved in numerous activities of European and Greek Projects concerning improvements in the Greek Textile Industry and Education. He has been a Projects Evaluator for the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises for Textiles and Garment sections and he has been a board Member on various Textile Scientific European and Greek Committees.
He is the author of “Knitting Technology”, ISBN 978-960-6674-12-9, and he has presented several scientific papers in International Conferences and published in various Scientific Journals. He is a Paper Reviewer for the world renowned Textile Research Journal.
