METODIC 2nd study visit in Belgium – Training and 2nd project meeting 1-3/7/2025

Representatives of UNIWA METODIC project team, Prof. Georgios Priniotakis, Post-Doc Kyriaki Kiskira and Lecturer Ioannis Chronis participated to the 2nd study visit of METODIC Project, which carried out with great success at Belgium, from 1st to 3rd July 2025.

Academic staff from Sub-Saharan Africa universities, which participate to the project consortium attended the training by University of West Attica, University of Ghent and IDEC company. Issues like the following were presented:

  • Life cycle assessment (LCA)
  • Regulations and legislation in the terms of sustainability in the textile industry
  • Building internationalization and collaboration strategies
  • Training of the partner of e-learning LMS platform
  • Training through Course Content Breakdown and discussion

In the frame of this study activity, visits to industry and to laboratories also took place, like CTSE Laboratories, Utexbel, Valvan, etc.

The 2nd  project meeting of METODIC project took place on 3/7/2025, were the partner representatives discussed and made decisions for subjects like the project management, quality assurance issues, project outputs, deadlines, etc.

METODIC project brings together two EU universities from Greece and Belgium, a training and consultancy company from Greece, and seven universities from Kenya, Ethiopia, and Uganda, all focusing on textile engineering and sustainability.
