Eleni Gyalinou is a Textile Engineer (BSc), with MSc in Industrial Automation and she belongs to the administrative staff of UNIWA (Secretariat of the Industrial Design and Production Engineering department). She has a long-time experience in European projects like Leonardo programs, Erasmus+ projects (TEMPUS UNITE, TECLO, TEXSTRA, TEXMODA, FOSTEX, DIFME, WINTEX, SMARTEX, T-CREPE, DIGITEX, etc). She participates to many activities of the European projects, and more specifically to the: development of educational material for smart textiles and ready garment technologies of manufacturing, administration of projects, progress reports, reports with bibliographic survey relevant to textile sector issues, dissemination of projects’ outputs, etc. Certified educator at CAD for clothing design of the Lectra company. Attended seminars of numerous software packages for clothing design, fabric design, production management, project administration, etc.
She also participated to Internal Scientific Program of PUAS (UNIWA) with subject: “Demonstration of the properties of fabrics, which are made of high performance fibers and correlation with the demand of the athletes”.
Research focused on: smart textiles, biomaterials, CAD for garment design.
