Dr. Kyriaki Kiskira
Postdoctoral Researcher
Postdoctoral researcher and a teaching associate at the Department of Industrial Design and Production Engineering, Faculty of Engineering (UNIWA, Greece) with a demonstrated history of working in the research, in the field of Environmental Technologies, sustainability, biotechnology, metal recovery, waste management, circular economy and renewable energy sources.
Currently, she is project manager and participates as a researcher at the European Research Programmes in the field of Sustainability, Circular Economy and Sustainable Waste Management.
She posed a first-class honour B.Sc. Eng. Degree in Mineral Resources Engineering (Technical University of Crete, Greece), an Erasmus Mundus M.Sc. Degree named International Master in Advanced Clay Science (University of Poitiers, France) with a focus in material science and an Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorate, PhD in Environmental Technology from University of Cassino and Southern Lazio (Italy), UNESCO-IHE (The Netherlands) and University of Paris-Est (France). Title of PhD Thesis: Nitrate removal and Fe(III) recovery through Fe(II)-driven denitrification with different microbial cultures, in the field of wastewater treatment, biotechnology and recovery of valuable materials from wastes.
She is the author of 45 scientific papers in peer-reviewed Journals and Scientific Conferences and has 360 citations in her research work (h-index (Google Scholar) -10).
