DIKNIGA Laboratory participation to Liaison Office event “CAREER DAYS” on 01/12/2023 at UNIWA

Members of Laboratory of ‘Design and Development of Innovative Knitted Textiles and Garments’ participated to the event “Career Days” of Liaison Office of UNIWA, which took place at the premises of UNIWA on 01/12/2023. In the frame of this event conducted the following activities:
1.” Career day”: interviews of students and graduates of UNIWA by representatives of Industry and any type of companies, which are interested to employ graduates or to provide internship to students.
2. Conference, related to the labor market in Greece and abroad and the future prospects for students and graduates of higher education, with corresponding presentations in selected thematic fields.
3. Exhibition of Organizations and Businesses
4. 1st Founding Meeting of the ” UniWA Alumni Association”: Meeting with purpose the communication and networking of graduates of the University of Western Attica
5. Exhibition for Postgraduate Studies (MSc programs) and Scholarships in Greece and abroad:
Presentation of all the postgraduate programs of UNIWA, the possibilities of postgraduate studies and research and scholarships in Greece and abroad (participation of educational departments of embassies and educational institutes of the countries with the higher demand).
6. Conference (1/12/2023) related to the possibilities of Postgraduate Studies, Scholarships in Greece and abroad: presentations were done by Managers of Masters Programs, Educational Attachés of Embassies, Educational Advisors, Graduates, Mentors, etc.

a. In the frame of the abovementioned event were presented with stand at the excibition and with presentation at the corresponding session of conference:
-MSc “Circular Economy and Sustainability Strategies”
-MSc “WE-TEAM” “International Master of Science in Textile Engineering” (ERASMUS MUNDUS)

b.In the frame of the abovementioned event, they were presented the activities of the following European projects to the students, graduates, academic staff and representatives of the industry:
• CIRCUTEX – Circular economy in fibrous composites and technical textiles through the use of virtual laboratories),
• 4Dculture -Dress up, Dance and Digitally Dive into Culture),
• REWAFT – Reducing water footprint in textile (Helping the textile industry reduce its water footprint)
• HACKTEX -Innovative smart textiles & entrepreneurship
• SECOVE -Sustainable Energy Centers of Vocational Excellence.
