WINTEX project 8th Transnational Project Meeting in Athens (UNIWA), 2-3/11/2022

During 2/11/22-3/2/22 Wintex consortium met for its 8th Transnational Project Meeting at the premises of University of West Attica (Conference Center).

The event began with the General director of the University of West Attica, Professor George Priniotakis, who gave a warm welcome to all the partners.

Afterwards, representative of UPC gave an extended presentation of financial and management indications to take into account in the last period of the project. It was mentioned the accurate expiring date of the project (14.08.2023), the deadline for the arrangement of all the financial issues of the project (23.06.23) and some other issues about the next project meeting and the final conference of the project. A review of the project outputs progress and a brief discussion about the collaboration platform and the relevant roadmap followed.

Then University of Sfax presented the WP2 progress and all partners discussed about the next steps.

Dissemination subjects like the deliverance of project brochures via e-mail, the next newsletter, etc., were presented by UPC.

Among other issues, Professor Priniotakis provided a brief presentation of other European projects and Msc  programs, which are organized by the “Design & Development of Innovative Knitted Textiles & Garments” Laboratory, more specifically:

  • Dress up, Dance and Digitally Dive into Culture (4D CULTURE)
  • Circular economy in fibrous composites and technical textiles through the use of virtual laboratories – CircuText
  • Msc program “Circular Economy and Sustainability strategies”
  • Msc program “International Master of Science in Textile Engineering” -Erasmus Mundus-  “World Textile Engineering Advanced Master (WE-TEAM)”

The 1st day of the meeting closed with Cre.Thi.Dev. presentation to the consortium of the quality progress of the project and a discussion followed.

The 2nd day of the meeting began with the presentation by CEDECs for “Networking and synergies with other projects”. Then, a very extensive discussion about the steps for the creation and launching of the ATIC was followed.

The next event of the project will take place at Tunisia on January 2023.
